Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 24 October 2026

These terms apply when you list a business on llyn.live, buy a paid membership, advert or add-on, or use QR Welcome. They are written to be read. If anything is unclear, email llynlive53@gmail.com before you pay.

1. Who we are

llyn.live and QR Welcome are run by Stuart Gradwell, trading as Anything Digital (“we”, “us”). Contact: llynlive53@gmail.com.

2. Who these terms are for

Our paid services are for businesses, including sole traders and holiday-let owners letting in the course of business. By buying, you confirm you are acting for your business. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited.

3. Free listings

  • Claiming or adding a basic listing is free, with no time limit.
  • New free listings are checked before they go live on the map, usually the same day.
  • We can show publicly available information about a business (name, location, category, website, food hygiene rating) even if it has not been claimed. If you own the business you can claim the listing, correct it, or ask us to remove it.
  • Chain businesses can be listed but cannot be claimed.

4. Paid memberships and prices

Current prices are shown on Why join, Advertise and QR Welcome. At the time of writing:

  • Founder 530: £53 a year, for the first 530 businesses only.
  • Standard: £89 a year, once Founder places are gone.
  • Spotlight: £10 a week. Category sponsor: £25 a month. Video feature: from £250, quoted in advance.
  • QR Welcome: £99 a year per property; extra properties £39 a year each; done-for-you service £249 a year; one QR sign (a stand with a printed card) is included free with each annual QR Welcome plan, and extra QR signs are £29. Founder members get 20% off QR Welcome.

Prices are in pounds sterling. We are not VAT-registered, so VAT is not charged.

5. The Founder rate

If you take a Founder place, your rate stays at £53 a year for as long as your membership continues without a break. We will not review it before 24 October 2031. After that, any increase is capped at inflation (CPI) for the previous 12 months, and we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies. Founder places are numbered and are not reissued. If your membership lapses, you can rejoin at £53 and keep your Founder number if you renew within 30 days of the date it lapsed. After that, the Founder rate and number end, and you can rejoin at the standard rate.

6. Paying, renewing and cancelling

  • Payments are taken by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
  • Annual memberships and QR Welcome renew automatically each year on the same date unless you cancel. Monthly sponsorships renew monthly. Spotlight is bought by the week and does not renew.
  • You can cancel any time by emailing llynlive53@gmail.com. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your paid features run to the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Refunds: if you cancel within 14 days of your first payment and have not used any paid features, we will refund you in full. Otherwise payments are not refundable, but your paid features carry on until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • If a renewal payment fails, paid features may be paused until it is paid. Your free listing stays and nothing is deleted.

7. Your listing and content

  • You are responsible for what you add: text, photos, prices, opening hours, offers, jobs and events. It must be accurate, legal and yours to use (or used with permission).
  • You give us permission to show your content on llyn.live, in our newsletter and on our social channels to promote your business and the Llŷn. You keep ownership of it.
  • We may edit or remove content that is misleading, unlawful, offensive, or that breaks these terms, and we may suspend a listing that is used for spam or abuse.
  • Offers and specials must be honoured as stated.

8. Placement, visitors and results

Paid tiers get the placement and features described on the pricing pages. We do not promise a particular number of visitors, enquiries or bookings. Visitor numbers in your dashboard are our best measure and may differ from other analytics tools.

9. Competitions

Paid members can opt in to competitions such as Best Breakfast and Rate the Cake. Membership buys a place on the ballot, not the title. Winners are decided by public vote under the rules shown on each competition page, and we may disqualify entries or votes that look manipulated.

10. Bookings, sales and payments between you and your customers

llyn.live is a directory. When a visitor books, buys from or pays a business directly — including through a “Book & pay direct” button — the contract is between the visitor and that business. We are not a party to it and take no commission. Each business is responsible for its own prices, cancellations, refunds and consumer rights.

11. QR Welcome and the Wales Visitor Levy

  • QR Welcome helps you keep records, calculate the Wales Visitor Levy, track nights and renewal dates, and produce exports. It does not register you with the Welsh Revenue Authority or file returns for you unless you buy the done-for-you service, and even then you remain legally responsible for your registration, returns, payments and the accuracy of the information you give us.
  • Safety badges are shown based on the renewal dates and declarations you enter. You confirm they are true. We do not inspect properties or certificates.
  • Levy rates and rules are set by the Welsh Government and local councils and can change. We update QR Welcome as quickly as we reasonably can.

12. Guest information (QR Welcome)

If you use the guest sign-up or check-out features, we hold your guests’ details on your behalf as your data processor: only to provide QR Welcome to you, kept secure, not sold or used for anything else, and deleted when you ask or when you leave. You are responsible for using your guest list lawfully, including only emailing people who opted in and honouring unsubscribes. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.

13. Availability of the site

We work to keep llyn.live running and accurate, but we cannot guarantee it will always be available or error-free. Live conditions (weather, tides, beach, water quality, sky) come from third-party sources and are a guide only — always check conditions on the ground.

14. Liability

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost bookings. Our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in that period. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

15. Ending your listing

You can ask us to remove your listing at any time and we will do it within 2 working days. We can end paid services on 30 days’ notice, refunding any unused part of a period you have paid for, or straight away if these terms are seriously broken.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change affects paid members materially we will email you at least 30 days before it applies. The date at the top shows the current version.

17. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
