How to use your listing
No jargon, no training needed. If you can send a text message, you can do all of this. The whole thing takes about ten minutes, once.
1. Add your business — 2 minutes
Go to Get Listed and fill in the short form: business name, email, phone, village and a sentence about what you do. That’s it. You don’t need a card, a website, or a logo.
We check it’s a real Llŷn business and publish it, usually within a day. If Founder spots are still open, yours is granted automatically and you’ll get an email with your Founder number.
2. Claim your dashboard — 1 minute
The email includes a link to claim your listing. That connects the listing to you, so you can edit it yourself whenever you like — at 6am or 11pm, without ringing anyone.
3. Put your opening hours in — this is the important one
If you do nothing else, do this.
Hours are what power the useful bits. When someone’s standing in the rain searching for somewhere open right now, the site can only suggest you if it knows you’re open. No hours means you sit out the single most valuable moment on the whole site.
Set them once. If you’re seasonal, update them twice a year — that’s all.
4. Add a few photos
Three or four good ones beats twenty poor ones. A phone camera is fine. Daylight, doorway, the thing you’re known for. People decide with their eyes.
5. Post a special when you want trade
This is the bit most people never use, and it’s the most powerful. Quiet Tuesday, weather turned, too much fresh crab to shift — post it in the morning from your phone and it appears on the site that day.
- “Two courses £15 today, until 3pm”
- “Fresh crab landed this morning”
- “Last two rooms this weekend”
- “Coffee and cake £5 while the rain’s on”
Short, specific, today. That’s the formula.
6. Check your numbers now and then
Your dashboard shows how many people looked at your listing, tapped your phone number and asked for directions, month by month. It’s honest data — no vanity metrics — so you can see what actually works.
7. Serving food? Add your digital menu
Cafés, pubs, restaurants and takeaways on Founder membership get a digital menu and WiFi page at your own llyn.live address. Your customer scans one QR code on the table and gets your WiFi password, today’s special, your full menu with prices, allergen tags and your opening hours — plus the afternoon’s tides and beach conditions.
- Change a price from your phone and it’s live straight away. No reprinting.
- Allergen tags for all 14 named allergens, shown per dish, so customers can check for themselves. Accuracy stays your responsibility — always confirm with the kitchen.
- Cymraeg and English side by side, with a one-tap toggle. You supply the Welsh; we give you the field.
- A QR code that never expires — printed on a table talker. Rebuild your menu a hundred times; the code keeps working.
Send us your current menu — a photo of the printed one is fine — and we’ll set it up for you.
Common questions
Does it cost anything? A listing is free, forever. Founder membership is a yearly fee at a rate locked for life — and Founders are granted automatically while spots remain.
Do you take commission? No. Never. People contact you directly and you keep everything.
I’m not good with computers. You don’t need to be. Fill in the form and we’ll do the rest — and if you’d rather do it over the phone, ring or email and we’ll set it up with you.
I’m only open in summer. That’s fine and normal here. Mark your closed months in your hours and the site handles it.
Can my listing be in Welsh? Yes. Write your description in Welsh, English or both.
What if I want to leave? Tell us and we’ll remove it. No contracts, no notice period.
