8.5 miles · 3.5–4 hours · Moderate · Park: Pwllheli (LL53 5DS)

📍 Drive to the start🎯 ///mailboxes.duly.inflows

The classic south-coast day walk. Leave Pwllheli along the promenade and follow the Wales Coast Path over the headland to Llanbedrog, where the famous candy-coloured beach huts line one of the most sheltered beaches in Wales. Climb through the woods past Oriel Plas Glyn-y-Weddw — Wales’s oldest gallery, with an excellent café — to the Iron Man sculpture on Mynydd Tir-y-Cwmwd, the best viewpoint on the south coast. Descend to The Warren’s long sands and finish among the cafés and pubs of Abersoch.

Need to know: some steep woodland sections either side of Llanbedrog; the beach stretches suit all ages. Dogs welcome year-round except Abersoch beaches (April–September restrictions). Buses run back to Pwllheli — check traveline.cymru so you don’t need two cars.
