Sgwrs Artist | Artist Talk. Anna Falcini talks about her solo show reimagining Gwen John: soft tissue, which began as a 2024 British Council Wales commission about the Welsh painter’s life in Paris. Drawing on John’s letters, notebooks and drawings, the work explores her spiritual, personal and animal relationships, and how her emotional life and art were bound together. Falcini will discuss how porcelain, fabric, a red hair ribbon and the act of brushing hair carry those ideas, across sculpture, performance, installation and watercolour.
